CSM Terms of Use
Last updated: August 21, 2026
These Terms of Use govern Your access to and use of CapableScannerMan. By using the Service, You agree to these Terms.
Authorized use only
You may use CSM only on domains, applications, APIs, accounts, and environments that You own or are expressly authorized to test. Domain verification and other product controls help reduce misuse, but they are not a substitute for legal authority. You are responsible for making sure You have permission to test every target You submit.
Nature of the Service
CSM is a security-testing service intended for bounded, evidence-driven, non-destructive testing. The Service may include authenticated scans, browser-assisted sign-in flows, API analysis, route discovery, result reporting, and related tooling. Features may change, be added, be limited, or be removed as the Service evolves.
Prohibited use
You may not use the Service to perform unlawful activity, destructive testing, denial-of-service activity, credential theft, social engineering, malware delivery, unauthorized surveillance, or testing of targets You are not permitted to assess. You may not use CSM to interfere with the stability, confidentiality, or availability of third-party systems without authorization.
Accounts and credentials
You are responsible for maintaining the security of Your CSM account and for the target credentials, tokens, cookies, API keys, and authentication materials You provide to the Service. Where possible, You should use dedicated test accounts and least-privilege access appropriate for the scan You want to run.
Scanner-authentication and browser sign-in flows
If You use browser-assisted or other authenticated scan flows, You instruct CSM to process the associated target-authentication materials for the purpose of carrying out the scan You requested. You are responsible for ensuring that any credentials or sessions You provide may lawfully be used for that purpose.
Results and limitations
Security testing results are informational and operational in nature. They can help You investigate potential issues, but they are not a guarantee that a target is secure, vulnerable, compliant, or free of defects. You are responsible for reviewing findings and validating remediation decisions before acting on them.
Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and We may impose limits intended to protect the Service, Users, or third parties.
Billing and subscriptions
Public references to pricing, plans, or subscriptions do not mean that checkout is currently active. If and when paid plans are enabled, additional billing or subscription terms may apply, including terms imposed by third-party billing providers.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if We believe You are violating these Terms, creating security risk, misusing the Service, or exposing Us or others to legal or operational harm.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
